Season 1993-1994

 

In 1994, we had an outstanding team.  We played for the National Championship in 1994 and lost to Loughborough by 1 point.  We also lost to Oxford that year at Oxford.  These were our only two losses.  My teammates included Mark Whitehead (UK), Bob Daugherty (US), John Steele (US), Adam Preston (Queens), Pete Jackson (Canada), myself (Queens’) and a big American fella named Matt McLaughlin.  Our coach’s name was Tor.  An important development that year was that Tor and Mark Whitehead obtained approval to grant four of us on the team full Blues.  I was awarded one of the four full blues.  Before this, CU Basketball was a half-blue sport.
