| CUBbC announces KPMG sponsorship
CUBbC and KPMG have agreed to a sponsorship deal for the 2008/2009 season. This allows CUBbC to invest in uniforms for the two university teams, while giving KPMG exposure on campus. We believe this is a beneficial relationship to both sides, and are looking forward to the start of the new season! |

| European Basketball Challenge in Milan, Bari Invitational Match
In early March, Cambridge Men's and Women's teams flew out to Italy to take part in an international basketball tournament hosted by the Bocconi University. The men's team came third, while the ladies took home the trophy. The free time was spent sightseeing around Milan with the expert guidance of Andrew Northern, and having a good time with the hosting teams, who claimed they have never had that much fun in their own home town. The Cambridge joint team travelled to Bari in May, to compete against the local university, the alma mater of the Blues coach Angelo Favia. Attracting considerable media attention, the visit was a great success - Cambridge won the match in overtime 89-87, with Sven Krippendorf making crucial free throws. The season was ended with an appropriate celebration, leaving a lasting impression on the locals. All the expenses for these trips were covered by the players and the hosts, with no additional burden on the Club budget. |
