| Match Report: Oxford Brookes The Blues began their regular season BUSA play with a home game against Oxford Brookes. A poor defensive performance in the first quarter left the Blues with a 9 point deficit. After some substitutions, a solid comeback was mounted, and the Blues fought to within a few points at the half. The Blues outscored the Brookes in the second quarter owing to the strength of their bench. In the final minutes of the game, the Blues held a 4 point lead. Foul trouble however meant that forward Nikos Bamiedakis, centre Hugo Halferty-Drochon, and guard Chris Bohn all fouled out within three minutes of each other. Atticus Honore made a crucial lay-up and centre Evan Hall kept the Brookes big men away from the boards. Still, the Blues ended up losing by a narrow margin. The Blues permanent coach will arrive this weekend. Final Score 83:86 |
